| Latest Update: October 28, 2006 | October 28, 2006 One result of the fire was that I suddenly had more time on my hands than anticipated, so I began working on a couple of loudspeaker projects that had been in the back of my mind for some time. We showed two of these loudspeakers at the Rocky Mountain AudioFest 2006 in Denver. Here are some links to online photos and commentary about the loudspeakers we displayed:

December 14, 2005 In July 2005 AudioKinesis relocated from New Orleans, Louisiana to Preston, Idaho (just north of Logan, Utah). For those of you familiar with “Napoleon Dynamite”, we’re just around the corner from Pedro’s house. Our plan was to open a retail space in downtown Preston, divided between my wife’s health supplement/floral/gift shop and my audio business. We leased a space, had it custom rennovated, and moved into it while waiting on the local city council to approve our business license (which took five weeks - they only meet every three weeks and we were left off the agenda the first time). On December 13, 2005, the day after the city council met and approved our application, the building we had moved into burned to the ground. Since the letter granting our license application (which we needed to get insurance coverage) was actually in the mail at the time of the fire, none of our losses were covered by insurance. The fire started at the rear of the building (not in my space) and a faulty light fixture is suspected as the cause. |
