FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where are the prices?

We prefer to quote prices over the phone or via e-mail, according to market conditions. We honor our manufacturer's guidelines regarding discounting, but have a fair amount of leeway to make "package" deals.

Why is there no toll-free number?

We prefer to put our resources into product development and other things that result in delivering sound that moves you at a price that soothes you.

Where can I audition loudspeakers?

If you cannot make it to Preston, Idaho to listen to our speakers, we may be coming to your neighborhood soon. Check the News page to see if we will be attending an audio show near you.

Sometimes our customers are willing to have people over for a demo, so contact us to see if we have someone in your area.

Finally, in some cases arrangements can be made for us to deliver or ship speakers for an in-home audition.

How do I buy something?

Call us at one of the numbers at the bottom of this page, or contact us via e-mail, and we can make arrangements from there.

We believe in personal sales. AudioKinesis.com is not an eCommerce site; high-end audio is not suited to eCommerce. However, we have a sister site, AnthemSpeakers.com, that specializes in guitar speakers and prosound cabs that you can purchase over the internet.

Why doesn't AudioKinesis sell through dealers?

We prefer to offer AudioKinesis brand loudspeakers with minimal mark-up. There are pros and cons to selling through dealers, but we prefer to give our customers a superior product at a lower price than a dealer can provide. Also we take a great deal of pride in our speakers, and enjoy the relationship with our customers that results from direct sales. If you have a question or a problem, you can talk the designer directly.

Can you do custom speakers?

We can do custom variations of speakers in our lineup at a nominal upcharge as long as a crossover redesign is not involved. Here is one of our custom projects. We will consider doing custom work that involves a crossover design if we think it is interesting, feasible, and profitable.
