About Us

Duke LeJeune's background is primarily that of a hard-core hobbyist. He designed and built his first pair of (three-way transmission line) speakers in 1979. Over the next couple of decades he built over sixty different designs, and along the way published a couple of articles in Speaker Builder magazine.

In the late 1990's Duke discovered SoundLAB, electrostatic speakers designed and built by Roger West. He was so impressed by them he bought the first pair of Millennium-1's ever made, and subsequently became a dealer for them. Looking for best equipment to match up with the speakers, he also became a dealer for several other companies for amplification, cables, and other gear. The business AudioKinesis was born, and other high-quality lines were added along the way.

The year 2005 found AudioKinesis in a major move from New Orleans to Preston, Idaho, and shortly thereafter the first AudioKinesis loudspeaker designs were launched. These drew on lessons learned directly from Roger West, Earl Geddes, and Wayne Parham, as well as studies of the writings of Floyd Toole and others.

Around 2009 the economic downturn was taking a significant toll on high-end home audio, so AudioKinesis branched out into the world of prosound, first with innovative bass guitar cabinets and then custom studio main monitors (the latter in cooperation with award-winning studio designer Jeff Hedback).

Recently AudioKinesis has begun working with inventors James Romeyn, and Steve Regier and Tom Ewing of Big E Loudspeakers. We have also taken on a few select dealers for our game-changing Zephrin 46, and have more dealer-distributed models in development.

June 2015 AudioKinesis moved to Princeton, Texas, which is about 40 miles northeast of Dallas.

AudioKinesis designs and builds speakers that consistently receive high reviews and praise from industry professionals, fellow designers, and most importantly, our customers.
